ABOUT ABOUT

CCCT continues its “Shakespeare in the Summer” series with a modern retelling of The Tragedy of Hamlet.  One of the most famous Shakespearean plays of all time, The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, is the story of Deception, Ambition, and Retribution. Hamlet learns that his father had not died from natural causes but was murdered by his father’s brother and now Hamlet’s Step-Father, Claudius. Hamlet seeks his revenge while leaving a wake of chaos in his path, ultimately leading up to one of the most tragic endings ever written.

CCCT’s production will be set in the present to show that the ideals of Shakespeare still hold true, and to quote the play, “To hold the mirror up to Nature”.
