Be prepared to be All Shook Up! Clear Creek Community Theatre is pleased to present Alseep On The Wind and it’s companion piece Graceland, by Ellen Byron.
Asleep On The Wind introduces us to Ruthannmaire “Rootie” and her older brother, Beau, in 1972. The siblings reflect on life, Elvis and Beau’s decision to join the Army so he can go off to a beautiful tropical country called Vietnam.
The second act, Graceland, picks up ten years later on June 4, 1982, three days before the opening of Graceland. The audience again meets up with Rootie as she participates in a battle of the wills against a die-hard Elvis fan, Bev Davies, to be the first person to enter the home of The King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley. Love Me Tender and come see this special event on August 16th, honoring Elvis’ death, and August 17th at 8pm.
